Care guide

How to care for linen bedding so it softens beautifully.

Linen care should feel simple. Gentle washing, low heat, and breathable storage help preserve the texture while allowing the fabric to relax over time.

Washing linen

Wash linen bedding in cool or warm water with a mild detergent. Avoid bleach and heavy fabric softeners, which can weaken fibers or coat the textile.

Give linen room in the washer. Overcrowding causes twisting and friction, especially with larger sheet sets and duvet covers.

Drying linen

Tumble dry on low or line dry when possible. Remove linen while slightly damp if you want fewer creases, then smooth it by hand before folding or placing it on the bed.

High heat can stress natural fibers. A slower dry keeps the hand feel softer and helps the fabric last longer.

Living with linen wrinkles

Linen wrinkles are part of its relaxed character. If you prefer a cleaner look, steam lightly or make the bed while the fabric is just barely damp.

Store linen in a cool, dry space with airflow. Avoid plastic storage for long periods because natural fibers prefer to breathe.
